Dufour, based in Switzerland, is developing uncrewed and crewed tilt-wing aircraft. Dufour is a world leader in aircraft electric propulsion systems which has designed the hybrid electric power system together with distributed electric propulsion, giving their Aero3 aircraft a range of over 1000km and 3 hours endurance. At three times cheaper than a single-engine helicopter and up to ten times cheaper than a twin-engine helicopter, it is the perfect choice for helicopter operators. You take your passengers and logistics issues further and faster in a quiet and generous cabin and offer affordable, flexible air transportation
Based in the United States, Electra is a next-gen aerospace company devoted to sustainable urban & regional mobility. They are building electric, ultra-short takeoff and landing airplanes that will fly heavy payload freight and people further, quieter and more affordably.
Electra’s technology delivers more than twice the payload to major competitors and with much longer ranges due to hybrid power sources.
With ultra short take offs of around 30 metres, the Electra Aero also offers substantially lower power requirements and operating costs.
The aircraft is being developed in its final stages with support from NASA and the US military. As the airframe is based around existing technology the speed to market will be much faster and with much less certification risk.
Electra Aero is the first aircraft to partner with Skyportz and will be utilising our landing infrastructure for both freight and passenger applications.
